As much as I despise terrorism and the IRA, a big "thank you" goes out to them for killing that bastard Mountbatten. Just a shame that they didn't do it 5 years earlier.

I'm guessing none of you have ever been close to an IRA bomb, or seen one of your mates shot by a PIRA sniper.

If you had, you'd keep your fucking gobs shut.
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

I understand what you're getting at, and it sounds like you have been in this position, but for those that haven't, the atrocities committed will always be another newspaper article or story on TV. That's as real as it gets for us, and for that we are lucky.

Not to defend terrorist acts, but bankers sure are a bunch of arseholes...the criticisms leveled at them here are all too true.

How to deal with the situation is another matter...

Which makes the first few posts even more stupid.

    Wrong on so many levels.

Terrorism is never acceptable when there is a working (although it may be faulty) democratic system in place. There is no right in it and there is no honour in it.

"Bastard" Mountbatten? Not entirely sure why an old man with a distinguished career in both world wars. Even the IRA noted he was picked because he was an accessible, high profile royal. His murder (not assassination) was political in purpose not military or strategic.
Also murdered at the same time were two children one of whom was an Irish national. Hey if it happened 5 years earlier they would have been 10 would that have been better for you.

If you want to live in a country where murder is acceptable then fuck off to Haiti or Columbia or some such place like Bali where you never know if a bomb is going to go off in that nice tourist bar you're having a quiet drink in. Then when one of your family or friends has been cowardly slaughtered post again.

Not sure why people are blaming the bankers - who borrowed the money from them in the first place??

As I stated in the beginning, I have no love for terrorism OR the IRA. Period.

That low life P.O.S. Mountbatten was murdered along with innocents. Totally unacceptable but predictable from the mentality of the IRA of that time who would kill many children to get at one individual person.

An "old man with a distinguished career" is only the public facade that is pushed out. A complete imbecile who did unsurmountable damage to Great Britain and really should have been tried as a traitor. He thrived under the "democratic system"... unfortunately.

Isn't that the business people were in in the World Trade Centre? I'm sure a few people in America would disagree with you.

Just more senseless violence, justified by a "good cause".

The worlds Governments inflict enough violence on people for "good causes" without adding more idiots. Particularly religious ones.
David must play fair with the other kids, even the idiots.
