So you're fine with the employees giving themselves a pay rise? Funny, that seems to go against some of what is being said in the Teachers thread... DO you value politicians more than teachers?

They're already giving themselves pay rises (I'd rather they couldn't but....) at least this way they'd have to get themselves re-elected in order to collect!

I think Chris Carter is the worst example of self serving politicians out there, followed closely by David Garrett who at least had the common decency to resign from parliament.
Someone please correct me if Im wrong, is Chris Carter in his third term at Parliament? In which cases he would be hanging on so that he has ''served'' nine years and is therefore entitled to a pension having served the minimum period to qualify.
Either way he is a self serving leach, like so many of them. The socialist leaches are especially hypocritical because it belies their stated philosophy.

Naaa .. they're all as bad as each other .. the right preaches self-sufficiency and self-help ... and then after three terms they get all the state support they want to deny solo parents ... and more ... their retirement plan (which can be at age 30 if they get elected young enough) would probably pay for for or five solo parents with three children ... Who's ripping off the system ?

Then they get directorships in companies, etc etc .. if beneficiaries were double dipping like that they'd get slung in jail ...

No politician can claim the moral high ground ...

Well, the Remuneration Authority gives them payrises (but yeah, same diff lol), the pollies just reluctantly accept it ... It's yet another rort that the sheeple accept as a way of life... Ahhh Guy, where are ya when we need ya
