Ride & Ski - Sat. 11th June

It's off!!!

Sorry guys and gals, but due to (previously unforseen) family commitments, I've got to head off to the Out-laws earlier than intended. I would suggest teaming up with the 9:45 ride at Westgate to get your fix.

Meet Shell Westgate @ 9am, leaving at 9:30am. Ride out on SH16 to scenic rest stop just outside Wellsford via Old North Rd (or through Helensville, depending on skill levels), then on to Snow Planet ( http://snowplanet.co.nz/snow_1_g.asp ) @ around 11 for some downhill shenanigans.

We want to see a large group of leather and synthetic clad bikers headed down the slope (helmets optional), and with all the armour on, theres no excuse not to try the rails and jumps

Krayy, are you actually riding out to Wellsford or do you mean the rest stop just after Kaukapakapa?

I will be keen for the ride. Don't know about the skiing though... hehe

We'll take a vote b4 departing

Probably just go to Kaukapakapa and stop there for a while, then on to skiing, so on the way out we'll go through Helensville to make it a longer trip.

otherwise i might c u at snowplanet....look out for the chick getting out of a beaten up old (mostly) red sentra, wearing full riding gear (helmet too - the way I drive). I'll bring the first aid kid for the first time skiers/boarders.

ps: maybe we could try the 10 pin next time....in full riding gear too, of course.
