True........ glad you mentioned us, even though F4 and F5 (Buckets) are spoiled and only cost $35 entry fee a meet at Mt Welly. The F4 and F5 class are money makers and consistently put dosh into the AMCC club coffers, not all of the other race classes can claim that.

There are many well presented bikes at F4 and F5 meets around the country, the whole thing has started to take off with the FXR150's becoming a very popular ride.

New riders and bikes in this class are always welcome............ in fact some big bike boys ride F4/F5 to keep their hand in............

It's a tricky one alright. Here's my latest crazy suggestion.
Clubs should slightly INCREASE their entry fee. In this case, from $150 to $175 BUT offer staggered cashback to entrants depending on how many entries they have. Say, 1.5% discount for every paid entry above 6 bikes (even if race is combined with other classes). Doing the maths with a bit of rounding

6 bikes on grid, you pay $175. Club gets $1050 (currently $900)
12 bikes on grid, you get back $15, (total $160). Club gets $1920 (currently $1800)
18 bikes on grid, you get back $31, (total $144). Club gets $2592 (currently $2700)
etc
30 bikes on grid, you get back $63 (total $112), club gets $3360 (currently $4500)

It seems a lot fairer to me.
It'd be a good incentive to harass mates into entering.
It'd be much better for spectators and sponsors.
Club less likely to lose money with classes having 8 bikes entered.

In fact, stuff giving the money back to entrants. Have it as prize money

example 1: 30 x F4 bikes = prize pot of $1080
Example 2: 5 x F3 bikes combined with 13 pro twins, prize pot of $324 ($90 & $234 respectively)

Had a great day thanks to AMCC.
After all the worries about anybody showing up it was fantastic to see the pits full! Not sure how many were there but all classes were well represented.
The weather forcast was pretty much spot on, we all qualified in the dry (I think) and all raced the first race in the wet, first time out on wets for me for bloody years (getting old and picky) but couldnt let Hampton Downs pass by without an attempt even if it was wet. For the record its very grippy in the wet if you stay of the multi coloured bits

Had no dramas, bike was running well, got to see Choppa twice in the first race

(man that bikes oh and rider is quick).
Wrestling a 1000cc bike round HD is bloody knackering and have a few aches today, looking forward to Puke in November

Had a fanatic day watching from the hut awning by the dipper out of the rain

Side-cars were entertaining with their slicks in the wet, Choppa sure showed off what BMW had to offer, so of those 150's were hellishly slow - but good on ya for being out there!

After a bit of a slow start the club did a really good job to get through as much races as they did!

And how about those bloody sidecars dropping oil! hahaha actually I think they actually got blamed for the class that was on the track before them

I think you will find that the oil was from cars at previous events and it was the rain that bought it to the surface.

They were all inspected after they supposedly dropped it and none of them were found to be leaking so you're probably right

I'll send them a extra 4 litre pack before the next one to lob off the back at random

...and another thing, it was sooo nice to have the races start one after the other, unlike other race meetings where the dumb as safety car parades around like a dork.
