Mate, Vaughan, popped around yesterday and showed his new seat. He'd considered taking it over to Tauranga but was a bit put off by the cost, when another mate said he'd have a go himself.
Vaughan made up a seat base, he's a fabricator by trade, and Alan did the reupholstering. Result, while not perfect is amazing according to Vaughan and superbly comfortable. Took longer as Alan did it in his spare time, but looks okay to my eyes!
You don't get to be an old dog without learning a few tricks.

That looks truly odd and detracts from the bikes beauty but so long as it's comfortable then who cares?
