In respect of protesting at the tennis, it's just wrong.
Rugby was the white game in SA, and having a go at that could (and did) get the attention of the Apartheid supporters. That tennis player is one individual trying to ply her trade, she's not world ranked, and unlikely to be a household name in Israel - protesting about her involvement will do nothing.

Yeah .. That's why I said originally said Minto can be OTT at times ... I agree .. not a suitable place to make that protest ..

No they don't, they mean "Zionist"...as in "Islamist" and "Fundamentalist" - although being Jewish is the major factor in that outlook!

As an Asian immigrant who first arrived to these shores 36 years ago, I am grateful for what New Zealand has given me and my family. I also like to believe that I have contributed something back to this country. My family certainly has.
But in the ensuing debate following Paul Henry's remarks, I have seriously questioned the premise of whether I should continue to describe myself as a New Zealander. Beneath the facade of our supposedly tolerant, modern and multicultural society, lies a seething undercurrent of bigotry, racism and ignorance.....
