Personally, I have no time for F & B. I dislike their quasi-political status. They are not elected, and do not represent all New Zealanders, and yet they seem to be hand in glove with DOC, a gvmt department. I am happy for them to be a lobby group for their members, but they seem to receive government support, too? It doesn't seem correct to me. I think they have far too much "say" in issues, relative to their membership.

At least they have a democratically elected executive accountable to a New Zealand membership. Unlike Greenpeace.
