Cant be bothered reading it all but how is the GP bike beating Hyosung doing? I seem to remember the lap times on the low 30s at Manfeild? About 10 seconds off the MVX so he's getting close.......

So he is actually doing it! (be that slowly...). Have to take my hat off to the guy. He is doing more than many others on KB with big plans.

May the bridges I burn light the way.

On your two stroke motorcycle, under the tank you'll find a dense little black cylinder, approx half the size of a red bull can screwed firmly to the frame by a couple of bolts. It will have a couple of little skinny coloured wires going in one end and a big thick one out the other end and going to your spark-plug.

    This is the coil.

It does however, also contain the PowerBand which is why it's so dense if you remove it. The PowerBand is similar in its design to a golf ball. Essentially, there is one of those really thick rubber bands wound up tight as all hell in there. This rubber band if removed and stretched out would be about 30 feet long so leave it in there. You can, however, make noticeable changes to your 2 strokes power by fitting the PowerBand from another model. Suzuki A50 PowerBands fitted to my VJ21 RGV250 made it wheelie off the throttle in 3rd gear easily. I also removed the mufflers to aide performance and you can easily spin the wheel out of turn 1 at Manfeild once this has been done.

Hope this helps in your "Google Quest" for PowerBand info retard.

It's a good industry to be in, recycling used power bands into golf balls.
