Nearly 200 good trades here.
only 1 bad trade.
Some guy in helensville still owes me $41 for a item I paid for and he never delivered!!!!! (TT250 forks.)
Anyone want to find out where he lives for me??
Cause one day I'm gunna be up there,, and Simon, I'm coming to knock on your door and get it my hard earned money BACK!!!!![]()
Well if you dish out that sort of negative feedback you're just asking for trouble IMHO. Personally I don't give out negative feedback on TM because you just risk your own reputation as a trustworthy trader, it's not worth it.Originally Posted by inlinefour

There you go, the wording you have used in your negative feedback is obviously unacceptable.Originally Posted by inlinefour
Would you be able to copy and paste the negative feedback here that you gave in those 5 cases? Would be good for a laugh.
I've been trading on TM for a few years now and have only been stung once ($50) out of 35 trades. I have no negative feedback against my account thankfully. I enjoy the site and know many others who do too. Sorry you had a bad run dude but such is life! :eyepoke:Originally Posted by inlinefour

Those who insist on perfect safety, don't have the balls to live in the real world.
I think the trademe experience definitely depends on who you deal with.
I've been on trademe since November 2001, and have 140 feedbacks from individual members (all positive out of 162 in total).
I don't trade with people who have negative feedback, and I always look at what people say about them.
However, I tend to buy motorcycle and computer parts and my wife buys kids clothes. I deal with reputable sellers and we have found that almost all sellers of baby and children's clothing are honest people.
I have never left bad feedback and I haven't really had anything worth giving it for.
Don't believe me - look here.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

My one trademe experience (so far) is much the same as your negative experiences - 'goods not as described'. Clothes that weren't the advertised size, basically.
I think it's a decent way to get cheap stuff, but I'll not be buying anything of any worth from it unless I can:
1) afford to write the money off in the worst case scenario
2) Go and pick the stuff up (i.e. inspect the goods) before I hand over the cash.
My friend is the worst trademe user ever, if he finds a better bargain at a store or if he decides he doesn't want to buy the item anymore after he had won the auction or press buy now, he'll make up lame ass excuses and hold of writing emails for a week or so.
The trick is to research the seller first. If they have negative feedback, check the trader who submitted it. If they have heaps, then obviously the odds are its gonna be their fault.
I know every trader has to start somewhere, but when buying from the 100% and gazillion trade traders, I reckon its as good as walking into a shop. In fact, some of them are shops anyway.
48 trades, 34 individual, one total wanker who ripped off my brother (ripped off several) and gave me neg feedback once I had. Soon after I noticed he had been disabled, sent an email to TM explaining the situation, and they deleted the feedback.
But their PR person (if he hasn't committed suicide) should be shot tho... Just wait until a proper competitor starts up...![]()

Quite an adventure really..

I have had a good run with trade me except when I moved to CHCH they disabled my membership and told me it was because I moved too often?

How much of a bunch of toss pots they are who run the site. Personally I found amusing how the manipulated the terms and conditions several times, but in fact contradicted themselves on several occasionsOriginally Posted by Sniper

I've had all good experiences with TradeMe. There was a stage where I thought I'd been ripped off by 3 different people who I had brought stuff from.... payed for the goods... and they never arrived...
Found out a month later that the goods had been sent but some little shit up the road was stealing our mail (along with nearly everyone elses mail on our street). NZ Post finally figured it out when they had about 16 people complain about missing mail... The kid was only about 12...
I'm not a complete idiot... some pieces are missing![]()

maybe trademe should have a category like this one>>>>>>>>>
