Thumbs up Next Defensive Driving course and new Driving/Riding Road Safety shop in Orewa

    Hi everyone,
Roadcraft School of Motorcycling and Motoring Ltd, is branching out again.
I have leased a premises opposite the AA in Orewa, (Shop 4, 15-19 Florence Ave., Orewa, Auckland) which is beside the McDonalds Drive Thru.
This is going to be a Road Safety/Riding/Driving School shop, similar to the ones in England.
From this venue, I will be offering the Defensive Driving Course, and will soon be offering motorcycle and car related Unit Standards, giving credits to those who are trying to gather credits for Uni entrance.
My plan is, that this venue will become a biker friendly venue, where there will be coffee and tea available, and a chance to talk about any rider training, ACC, Mag-NZ, or anything else that might catch your fancy..

NEXT DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE IS STARTING ON THE 2ND NOVEMBER FROM 6-8PM, 6TH NOVEMBER 2-4PM, 9TH NOVEMBER 6-8 PM, 11TH NOVEMBER 6-8PM.
THE PRACTICAL ELEMENT OF THIS COURSE CAN BE DONE ON A MOTORBIKE, EITHER MY TRAINING BIKE, OR YOUR OWN LEGAL BIKE.

If you know anyone who would like to get the course done for their car driving, then they can book a place and come along too.
Cost for the course is $200 for non-students, or $170 for full-time students with a student card.
Shop is officially opening on 30th October with a Sausage Sizzle from 9am - 1pm.
Please stop by and say Hello!!
    Safe biking,
    Tricia

Brilliant! I'll have to pop down and see you when I can! We usually call in to McCafe for a coffee on Friday mornings, and I'm hoping for good news from my surgeon on Wed. which will help me get out and about a bit more.

I've been stuck at home for weeks!

I've seen your cards at Tim's garage. I'll tell my biking friends to call in as well.

Wow that's great news. Quality training facilities targeted at motorcycle riders is just what we need.

I might see if I can make the sausage sizzle.

Having done my DDC with Tricia I can thoroughly recommend her as an instructor. Professional though friendly, with a good humour. As an experienced motorcyclist Tricia was able to give oodles of examples to illustrate points and give advice above and beyond the standard.

This is an essential for anyone returning to biking.

Best of luck Tricia Hopefully be there for the opening

    new shop

You are all welcome. I would like to feel that it is a place where you can come along and discuss motorcycles, cars, petrol heads over a coffee or a cup of tea.
It is a huge step for me, and I will need all the support I can get.

    Absolutely. No problem at all.
You will get good quality training, as my colleague and I believe that driving/riding lessons should not just be about "Turn left, turn right, take your money, thank you very much"
If she would like to give you a voucher for some bulk lessons for xmas, she could put them on lay by now, and pay them off between now and Xmas.

Come along on the 30th between 9 and 12 to the sausage sizzzzzle at:
Shop 4, 15-19 Florence Ave, Orewa, and we can discuss your requirements, whether they by bike or car or defensive.

Everyone is welcome on Saturday morning for a sausage sizzle at:
Roadcraft School of Motor(cycl)ing, Shop 4, 15-19 Florence Ave, Orewa.
Directly opposite the AA in Orewa, and beside the drive thru for McDonalds.
I would love to be able to put some faces to KB user names, and also FB names.
Discuss with us your individual needs, whether they are in the future, or perhaps you are already along the GDLS road.
The GDLS system will be undergoing changes next year, so it would be wise to get your foot on the rung of the ladder now, rather than wait till the changes eventuate.
    SEE YOU ON SATURDAY!!

I do hope it's nothing too serious, Cam! You're priority is of course with her right now, just know we're thinking of you all and hoping things are well.
