    Geez, , it's obvious!!!

He's thinking of getting an RGV250 cylinder, sleeving it down and bolting it on. He needs to know the stroke so he can figure out what bore he needs.

To be honest I wouldn't reccommend it as the 150 motors are big and heavy for a bucket motor.

As for getting sleeves, just check the ads in Motorcycle Marketplace and Data. I would think it'd be cheaper to buy a new barrel though rather than sleeve one.

There have been a few GP100s that have done quite well, now with the 125 aircooled rule (must use 24mm carb) they should be a reasonable engine. They are held back by their 5 speed gearbox & fairly simple transfer porting, but I’ve ridden quite a fast 100, so a 125 should be a good torque monster & on short tracks quite effective.

Of more concern is the handling. Those forks are woeful. As a starting point just go for it, you may decide later to brace the swing arm, & put in some solid bushes. Or you may decide to throw it all in another frame.
For the meantime make sure you get a low seat, lower the bike, but make sure nothing touches down (+ do the nylon crash bungs on any contact points so we don’t damage the track). Don’t make the mistake of making it too cramped or the weight too far back.

I have a couple of treaded 18" tires that will be better than what is on it, I'm moving so the price will be friendly.

Buy Gordon Bell’s two stroke tuning book (Small’s technical books in town, or just order it off the net). This will impart more useful knowledge to you than you will imagine.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
