At these checkpoints the cops often check WOF and the vehicle licence at the same time.

They've even been known to check tyre tread depth, seat-belt wearing and drivers demerit points and other things too...who would a thunk it??

Usually at a 3R they just check to see that the driver is not 1K and that both labels are current, and that's it. They don't really have the time to do a QP and QVR on every vehicle that goes through the checkpoint unless something looks a bit 1C about the vehicle or driver. That's just from my experiences anyway.

I've only been breathalysed twice in my life ... both at about 8.25am on a weekday. Odd time but I have been too pissed to drive at that time on a couple of occasions (and of course I didn't drive ... feck ... I struggled to walk. I knew I shouldn't drive one day when I struggled into the shower and the water knocked me to the floor). Ahh, Mt Cook days. I remember them ... well, some of them.
