While I was away visiting the relatives in the UK, I couldn't miss the opportunity of visiting at least one of the tracks. I suggested to my father that we take a drive to see Cadwell Park or something. He did some investigating and found out that the British Superbikes will be running a round at Silverstone will I was there. So off we went!

It was bloody cold the whole day. Just before the first race I was at the point of pulling the pin and just heading home, till the side cars came out.

Now normally I am not much of a fan of the side cars, but the fields there are so big and the racing so tight that there was no question about leaving after that!

We were up in the grand stands at Luffield with a great view of the long straight leading up to the corners then the view all the way down the main straight. What doesn't show up in the video is how most of the thous were going down the kink in the straight sideways! Some serious drifting action!

All the fields were packed and the racing close all the time. The half time entertainment was great and a carnival atmosphere at the back of the stands for all the all the food vender's and bike dealers.

Anyway, it was a great day in spite of the cold.

Here's the vid I shot. Sorry if some shots are blurry, but I had my cheap pocket cam with me which doesn't have zoom, so I had to do trickery with my video editing program to bring the action a little closer.

Watch till the end for a couple of 125s coming off second best in the rain.

Enjoy!
