    VT250f

    needs a batery and tune up i start it with car batery it runs.
    has a yamaha tank on it which looks better anyway.
    was registered in australia as it has a vin tag on it.
    dont think it was ever registered in NZ as i car jamed the chassis number and it comes up invalid vin.

    They are great little bikes (When maintained correctly that is), but sad to say, even at $400, getting it on the road in NZ is cost prohibitive.... Once you have tyres, oil and filter, chain and sprockets, (check out the rust), the 25 year old shock will in all likelyhood have no oil in it,the forks will most likely need seals too, compliancing, 6 months rego, you are pushing 2k.... For a bike that is worth less than a grand.

    best option is to sell the engine for 400, and see what trade me brings you for the rest.
