Coil help - will this work?

I managed to burn out the coil on my bucket. need a new one. I was wondering whether coils are universal, or bike specific, I have heard of people using old car coils on bike before..
The bike is an SL engine with CB125 electrics, the cb/sl 100/125's were all basically interchangeable everything. What I want to know is will any other coil work? The one thats fucked had two wired, so obviously Im going to need one with two wires coming off it, but other than that does it matter?
will a 2 stroke one work on a 4 stroke, or is there no difference between a 2 and a 4 stroke coil? have found a 2 stroke coil off a 185, that also has two wires and wondering it that will work?

if it has points and you use a car coil it would pay to use the condenser of the car also
