    The cove

Everyone needs to watch the movie "The Cove".

32,000 dolphins are slaughtered every year by Japanese fishermen.

    Here's a some footage...

no, we don't need to watch it to know what's going on. nor do we need to watch baby seals being clubbed to death to know what's going on. nor do we need to watch pigs living in cages here in NZ to know what's going on.

We can educate ourselves, and make decisions about how we deal with that information, but we don't need to be told we need to do anything.

How does watching this stuff happen, stop it from happening?

Probably a mercy for the dolphins, given that all the pilot whales that beach on our coasts seem to have stomach ulcers because they're starving due to us eating all the squid...

I love squid, but I don't eat it any more.

Yea I'm sure they're really relieved to be chased into small cages then killed 1 by 1.

So your solution to a problem caused by us overfishing, is to slaughter all the dolphins. Fucking great way to go. You could become a politician with that attitude!

The Dolphins would be in no danger of becoming extintict if the tree huggers allowed them to be farmed. Its just another form of food. There is somebody right now bleating on IndianBiker about how New Zealand slaughters cows.

Sheesh take a chill pill...a flippant comment to highlight the slower agony of dolphins' relatives closer to home, that we can actually do something about and you get yer panties all in a bunch.

As to your second point, no, I'm proudly completely unelectable
