Shit Katman.. you pasted Bob for a repost of a pretty non mainstream bit of news..

This is a repost.., except its mainstream.. you didn't even need to use the search function as it was posted same day in the same thread.

You aren't exactly a counter-example eh; A city-dweller student who's into swastikas. You sound like a Tim McVeigh clone.

OK, I can buy that, _some_ people use firearms as tools. As I suggested, the majority who are 'into' guns (I'd define that as people who buy gun magazines, acquire them without the intent of using them for a useful purpose, sit around shining them all day etc) just have them to say they have them.

Just like a bike....they are safe as shit in the right hands and always will be.

Well, I don't know your girls. What is it exactly that they like about hunting? Is it the part where they create a great big bloody hole in the side of some beast and then get you to slit its throat? Do they enjoy watching you butcher the carcass? Is it the physical exertion of clambering around in a forest? Or do they get a gleam in their eye when they see the gun come out and then spend time deciding who gets to go first?

I'm not being a bleeding-heart here, I'm genuinely interested their reasons. When I went hunting with my uncles as a kid I loved the god-power of being able to take a life with impunity from long-range.

Also, just because they're girls doesn't mean they're not into power and such. Girls have power structures, like cliques, and are cruel to others the same as boys. Queen Mary I was known as "Bloody Mary" for a very good reason.

A baseless and silly generalisation doesn't become more valid with repetition.

Well I am generally disgusted when some poor sod is mistaken for game, there is no excuse. Some lady was shot and my only concern is with her and her family. I am sure that the shooter did not mean to shoot this lady, however the shooter will have to live with the consequences of his actions for the rest of his life.

The hunter might have seen her eyes reflected in the spot light and shot to them.

Twice when out hunting over the years I have being hunted by other hunters. It's a sobering experience and the reason I don't often go out to public areas now days. I have also had to chase spotlighting poachers off my farms more times than I can think of. You never know what you are going to face when you confront a 4WD full of young armed men at night.

With all due respect mate...you are right, you don't know me or my girls, but i now know you. You are, without putting too finer point on it, the biggest fuckwit i have ever come across.
My girls go hunting for the outdoors lifestyle amongst many other things, but i would have to say the biggest asset about them being in the outdoors hunting is that they are not down at the local watering hole drinking up large and smoking pot etc where they are most likely to meet a wanker like you.
I have never heard such a load of shite like that before in my life and when you start making referrals like that towards my daughters you start heading down very shaky ground.

ah yes the Kiwi Biker thread SOP

It starts off with a relevant reply or two, then the tone and level rapidly heads downward until all that remains is a bunch of thinly disguised threats and personal observations between people whose only common denominator is ignorance,to the point where any reader of the thread past page one (at best )has to go back to the start to see exactly what the fuck the subject was in the first place.

Good to see some things never change.

I'm pretty sure that you're the one who brought yours daughters into it and then invited me to make some comment about them. I asked you why they like hunting and you went spear.

OK I'm going to take the bait and presume that you aren't taking this piss.

I think you'll find that for the vast majority who don't require a firearm in their employment, that it's the challenge.

I don't know any firearms owners with a god complex who sit around polishing their weapons all day. You must know some really queer cunts.

    Like attracts like, and all.

Bullshit. You probably know many people that own them and chose not to say so.

More bullshit. I subscribe to 2 hunting and shooting magazines and im far from the gross generalization you just mentioned. Iv probably had more responsibility my first 5 years out of high school than you ever will.
