Neptune: New muffler design, need opinions feedback!

    Hi All

We have been tinkering around with some new more modern looking muffler ends, the one pictured is tapered in the sleeve as well

See attached pic of the new end and let me know if you like/hate/want to blow it up

    Many thanx

Looks pretty good. Will you put those new end caps on all your mufflers, or will it be an option?

    re muffler

The Neptune current range still selling well and popular but lot of requests for the newer style ends.

but we will be doing the ends in black stainless steel as well

I personally prefer the spout look! , but got to act on customer requests

    Thanx

    Too long.
I would love a reverse of that. With more taper. ..
    ...
and no I have no money.

But here is a crude rendition of what I was talking about

    Always loved the reverse cones.

I quite like the new end cap you have - the only part I find a bit 'bland' for want of a term is the connection point - just looks like a riveted on end cap (which it is of course). Maybe a nice polished stainless or gold coloured retaining band under the rivets would jazz it up a bit. Cap on inside and band on the outer like the Yoshi or Marvin below? I presume you've gone outer for superior sealing, but a bit of high-temp rtv on assembly will prevent any issues.

A good high polish to the entire pipe would add appeal on it's own.

Cleaner than the MIVV outlet below.

    Keep up the good work.

It needs to be shorter and not quite so round if I'm going to get a pair of them under the seat on an Aprilia Shiver...

Tig it, it can always be repacked from the other end if it needs it

What about the main muffler not being round or simple oval? Something like Akrapovic or Wings. Carbon fibre end caps maybe?

Some bikes suit a round pipe (hornet for example) others need shorter, or pipes that aren't round...

    neptune new designs

Thanx for all your feedback its great to get this!

We just fitted a pipe to a new aprilia v4 and stuck our standard end on ,the muffler is 95mm round on the inlet and oval at the rear so we need to stick a nicer end on it!

The other factor is the sound which we can't decide.
