Hi, new old learner from Wellington (TheGreatestBen)

    Hi,

Just signed up to the forums. I've had my learners since I was 15 which was about 7 years ago now. I've had a couple of bikes over the last few years. Currently have a 1972 Honda CB125s. It's getting on a bit and I rode my friends 09 250cc Ninja today so I want to get something a bit newer.

Had a look at a 08 yamaha scorpio, which seem well regarded.

I'll be looking into advice and recommendations from the forum and perhaps some advice on selling my honda regarding price.

    Cheers

    Ben

    Hi Ben,
Welcome to kiwibiker! That's one pretty little CB you have there - what a minter! I bet it's fun in the wind.

Check out the Wellington Tag-O-Rama and I think Thursday night rides in the Meetings and Events section.

    Russell.

Unfortunately it's not as mint any more. It's been stored outside under a cover for some time and I had a wee tumble off've it so it's looking a bit sad. A few hours with some autosol and a new mirror will see it looking good again though I think.

    Tag thread looks fun.
Mulling over purchase of a scorpio right now

scorpio's are good wee bikes, but what do you want the bike to do? if it is just for a commuter, then it will be as good as you'll get. it will sit at 100, but not much more than that. the scorpio too will lose power in a headwind.

    just some food for thought.

    good luck with the search
