Police saving lives again - from explosives.

Familiar looking face on TV3 news tonight dealing with a farmer dropping off some sticks of gelignite at the local cop shop?

Bit of a 'scummy' thing to do really.

What a shocking, disgusting clip...a D/S/Sgt in a uniform raincoat with his cap on!

    How did that happen?

Interesting spin on this when I first heard it on the radio this morning - the statement was "some unknown person" had put the explosives on the step, implying it might have been some sort of threat to the police.

Next report I heard was that a farmer had been told to drop the stuff off for disposal. A bit more accurate, but far less dramatic. Was the national radio reporter told that right from the beginning, or do they just make stuff up in the absense of facts?
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Try this in compariosn to the media efforts:

Farmer drops off 'some gelegnite for you guys to take care of' (we get that from time-to-time) was not TOLD to bring it in.

It was in TWO (not 3 as in some reports) boxes and probably 50-60 sticks in total (I wasn't game to take them out to count!) not a HUNDRED as in some reports.

It made me a tad edgy when I saw said gelly was oozing/had chrysals on it and you saw the follow-on....

Was a great bang when it all went off, I was a lot closer than the media was when that happened.
