Not sure if this is the correct sub-forum for this topic.
I've got a question- I've got a Kawasaki KR150A (registered in 1998, but the paint job looks more 1989?).
I've recently tried riding on the open road for the first few times in the last couple of weeks.
Basically, even when strangling the hell out of the throttle in 6th gear - or 5th gear for that matter I'm barely getting above 100KPH.
I've tried getting it close to 110KPH but opened the throttle up too far/too long and broke the cable.
Acceleration is good & solid to 80-90KPH but feels damn gutless after that.
So,
1. Is it normal for a KR150 to top out so low? Everything I've read said it should be closer to 150KPH.
2. Should I get it checked because of this?
Any help/advice appreciated.
Thanks.
