Entry fee is being re-visited watch this space; The budget will be re-crunched and price confirmation will be out before this weekend hopefully.

However all costs have gone up, Track hire, timing (Craig is right) to name but a few.

The aim of the AMCC is to give you a good days racing whilst covering costs where possible, we are a non profit organisation and take the good with the bad.

Hampton Downs whilst a concern to start with was a success for us, we covered our costs in the end and more importantly had a good days racing. We look forward to doing it all again on the 5th December there.

mx ones are only rated to 120km/h, road race ones are rated much higher (320km/h from memory) the program that runs them is the same,

at our clubdays they are not, however at regional champs, (like our auckland champs) they are compulsary,

the entry fee for the auckland champs are $100 plus transponder hire,

MX runs much different, clubdays are very basic, no commentator, jsut 12 races a year counting towards club trophies, the Auckland champs or other regional championships around are more organised events with commentators, trophies etc,

$15 entry fee.. last time i'll be there.. unless i can get there early and say i'm racing...

one thing i did notice on my way to HD to watch the first round was, just before i got there there was the MX on.... it was PACKED with bikes and people...

how much did they charge ????
I ended up paying $10 cause they couldn't be bothered about change.

Are you serious? A full days entertainment for $15 is chump change compared to what they charge for movies these days $18.50 for a crap 1.5 hour romp in eye burning 3D.

I'd just like to point out that the PMCC managed a trackday and a further day's racing (with free camping) for $130 all in or $150 with cross entry to another class.

AMCC are saying that the dangerous shithole that is Pukekohe is more expensive to hire than Taupo or Manfeild? I won't be rushing to race there.

As for charging spectators to watch club racing; what a joke. Club would be better pointing out it's non profit, having a gold coin donation and maybe charging $5 to store helmets and gear.

Just move south....... 2 tracks within 1.5 hrs travel
50 bucks entry & 20 for transponder........ and as puddy said sooooooo many entrys that we ran out of transponders.
It has a lot to do with the running and vision of the promoting club too...
MCC runs its own track days this alone generates massive interest in the club and racing and always results in new memberships.
Treating the whole thing as a big picture not just season by season also helps.
I am a current comittee member and the rest of the ladies & gents on our comittee are a fantastic bunch of people who are passionate about the club.
This is no slur on any other clubs/members but just a "big up" for the guys at MCC.

And weather forcast this weekend is for SUNNY skies so another massive turnout expected. Yes you heard it right......a DRY race day
