    1997 Honda NSR250R SE

Smokes, Rattles and is Noisy - ie. in very good condition.

Honda NSR 250 SE Model , has a Dry clutch, swipe card ignition system and Single Sided swingarm.

Bike has had the restrictors removed from the exhaust, uprated clutch (Honda OEM) , and new tires fitted about 3k ago (GPRa10 front and GPR100 rear - still heaps of tread). Goes well, starts 1st or second kick every time, has never fouled a plug, never missed a gear, and never failed a wof. Always used TTS and Motul Gear Oil.

Bike has been down on it's left side in gravel, has cracked and scratched front fairing, and scratched muffler - old owner has replaced mirros and screen when he did this (wasn't me!). Doesn't affect WOF or handling. Rest of fairings in tidy condition, few scratches and rubs here and there. Never bothered to tidy up as I figured I would end up dropping it at some point anyway (never happened).

Would suit someone needing to go through the license system that has been riding a while, or someone that has a soft spot for the ring a dings (me on both accounts). Could be a learner bike but would suit someone with confidence AND restraint. Has more power than IL4 250's, closer to a VFR/RVF - just peakier.

Don't really want to sell it, but sick of walking the kids to school in the rain, and need a tow wagon for the dirtbikes. Possibly interested in a cheap car with towbar as part trade.

Will come with a new WOF on sale, has Rego till December. Test rides are ok but would need to leave DL + car/bike/cash in my hands. Will be up on trademe during the week.

I know, I've been trying to find ways of keeping it. Wonderinf I can sell the kids into slave labour, would also fix the issue of walking them to school

Almost as cool as an RS250, for 1/2 the price - great value I reckon

mmm Very cool bike!! I'd love to have this sitting next to my HRC RVF would give me similar riding with different buzz (literally) I'm a bit broke at the mo but will consider calling the bank if you've got no takers in a month
If I had a GF I'd like only ride 5 times a week!

If you mean Honda RS250, then yes, if you mean Aprilia RS250 then, I'd have to politely disagree :P

Having 2nd 3rd 4th thoughts about this again, Car isn't an issue anymore, but am riding my Ape more and more so this is getting used as a coat rack in the garage. Could be interested in a Track Day bike (any MC21's going?) or something more upright/pillion friendly than this or the Mille.

Good news is the bike passed a WOF (WTFF) down at Action, bad news is the Front tire is more worn than I realised (1.9 mm) , and the chain has developed a tight spot. So these points could be negotiated (or replaced with new for the right price).
