Just curious as to what peoples' current favourite flavour of compound or mix is if you run Metzeler Racetec interacts, what bike you run them on and how long do they last you?
For info only
Cheers

K1/K1 usually, especially in summer. I get a little cold tearing in winter. Might have to play with pressures. People of similar speed seem ok on them in winter.
I can normally get a good couple of days racing out of ‘em, then maybe a test day before they’re utterly fried.
I used K1/K2 for a couple of days at Puke recently (about 90 laps or so). Definitely notice the lower grip compared to the K1’s, but wear was great, could probably use them for another couple of days if I was skint.
My suspension is reasonably well setup, but not perfect…and of course mileage will vary
Bike is an ’07 R6, Ohlins FGK’s and TTX36.
...
We are running Metzeler slicks this year - will let you know how they get on. Bike is a L0 Gsxr-1K. On Pirellies we get a good trackday (4-5 sessions) and a race day 3 races. If I'm skint we could squeeze another track day out of the rear and front usually better then the rear, before they're completely shot. Standard suspension but set up for me. We'll be putting the Metzelers through their paces this year that's for sure.

Used the interacts at nats last year (prior to that I used the racetecs for 2-3 years.) As toast said, stick with the K1's they work everywhere in summer (including teretonga without tearing) if they are tearing its either track temp or bad setup.
I am on a cbr600, at nats we replace as per sups (one front 2 rear) but for clubbies I can usually get 2-3 trackdays out of them on a pretty good pace before they start to lack. Then I ping them off to speedway sidechair guys who groove them and love it! (especially the wets)
like everyone else says get the k1s.
I am running these now and they are a sweet tyre.
highly recomend them.
Yeah, I have been running them for the past 3-4 meetings I have been very happy. Reason I was asking about compounds is that I always buy the same without really thinking about it (K1 front, K2 rear)
Just figured maybe I'd go softer on the rear, which looks like it will definitely be worth a look.
Cheers all
