I was hoping to make the morning ride, but I need to go the gym etc so leaving later suits me....

Hope you can come down with us!!!! Meeting at Yaldhurst Robbie's at 1200, heading inland - Rakaia Gorge, mayfield, Geraldine and then the Rally site...

Can someone please save us all a spot ???? Preferably with everyone and not in the middle of the lawn mowing arena!!

Yep thats the route, usually darfield then inland through the gorge, mayfield etc... I forget the names of the towns and too tired to look online right now. Geraldine for lunch usually about 12ish... lunch is often quite a drawn out affair so you will undoubtably catch up there anyway.

Right the Pig is legal, now a nights work to convert it back to motard trim change the oil and pack my beer goggles. See ya at the Yaldy or on the road!!!!

Indeed it does... Unfortunately the gym isn't open really early on a Saturday! Damn inconsiderate hours around Rally season!! But we will be there in plenty of time to catch most of it....

And... it's about the ride as well as the Rally, and it's much more fun riding with other peeps than on ya own....

Yep, what she said, would like to be there earlier but mrs can't get off work sat morning. So a 9am departure isn't a go unless she gets up at 4am to start work, which would probably mean an early expiry at the rally, miss all the fun later on.

We might catch up to you guys at Geraldine depending on how long you faff around with lunch anyway.

Weather better be good by then, forecast looks a bit poos at the moment...

Sounds like the bike show is going to be quite big. Held at Ashburton Racecourse. The tattoo show they hold as part of it sounds like it's going to have a few entries too. Was thinking of going to have a look before heading to the rally, but by the time I pack my bike, swear curse and throw my toys, due to nothing going right, I don't think I'll have time.

Second wave leaving from the yaldy at about lunchtime if you want to join us.....still going inland to make it less boring (and there are some sucky roadworks on the main road as well), we can sort some places for you to stop and wait for us if you don't want to travel at pootling pace...

just a reminder its a 9am leaving from yaldie for those who wanna get down there the long way for the entertainment in the arvo
so for anyone we are picking up along the way it will probably be about 9.30ish at Darfield... regroup... then Mayfield for a regroup... then onto geraldine lunch about 12ish, then rally site to PARTY!
