Any secondary maths teachers/students on here?

Ok, the reason I'm asking is because I can not for the life of me, find a course guidline for NCEA Maths, levels 1 2 and 3.

I want to know what topics are covered at each level. I have searched online but, only found very limited information so, if anyone else could direct me to a website that actually lists the topics covered I would be so grateful!

I have decided, after 36 years of fucking around (mostly during my school years) that I want to go back to school and study Maths and Physics to persue my goal of becoming an Electrical/automotive engineer. Better late than never.

hope this helps you out. If you're doing Physics as well don't bother with statistics, concentrate on Calculus

First of all, good on you for making that decision! I returned to tertiary education as an adult student to earn a degree in electronic engineering so I know how rewarding it was.

Forgive me if you have already looked into this, but you may be able to do a bridging or pre-engineering course at a polytech or University to bring you up to speed for the actual course work and avoid the need to do NCEA type stuff. I'm pretty sure Manukau Tech (where I did my degree) offer this. It might pay to give them a call.

haha... I'm not sure if they allow 36 year old men to sit in the same class room with 16 year old school girls. I will be doing my schooling via correspondence. Apparently I will be sitting the end of year exams with the pimply little gits though.

You certainly will be allowed to sit in the same class with 16 year old girls if you wanted to, that's the way it works at the school I go to. I'm the oldest in the class. Giggity giggity!
