No double points at Manfeild NZSBK round

From the NZSBK website:

An original idea of double points for the last round of the 2011 Castrol Power 1 NZ Superbike Championship at Manfeild has been dropped. After discussions with the Manawatu Orion organisers , Motorcycling New Zealand and others , it has been decided that double points , while in theory was a good idea to try and attract riders to the last round , in practice it may not have worked exactly as intended. The organisers are looking at other ideas to make the series a final a successful conclusion to the series. Book the date April 2nd-3rd 2011 , Manfeild. Park Feilding .


Entry forms and Sub Regulations for the 2011 Castrol Power 1 Championship series are due for release this coming week.

I am glad to read this, it brings it all back to being prepared and ready to go at every round now

Even though it is my home track probably would have benifitted me, I think there would have been some people feeling pretty hard done by if they had a bad weekend - eg. some sort of mechanical problem that lost them so many points.

22.8.8 Points are awarded for 1st to 15th placings as follows:25, 20, 16, 13, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6,5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
