    RG150 help in Wellington

    can anyone in wellington help me with my rg it seized recently and havent started it since. Any recommendations who is the best to take it to or anyone want to have a look at it for me dont mind paying . have used boyles in the past but just thought since there are heaps of them as buckets someone may be able to help. im keen to learn done lots with cars bikes not so much dont mind transporting it to someones house

    RG150s arent eligible for buckets, so not many bucket people will have them.
    They are pretty straight forward engines, if it is just a siezed piston should be an easy fix, if it ate the powervalves then not so straight forward as you will need to spend extra money, there is a possibility it may have done a big end or at least due for a rod kit as they dont last forever.

    there are a few people up north who race them in streetstock, maybe somebody at the vic club can help.

    if you just want somebody to fix it then pm Oyster on this forum, he has rebuilt dozens of them and has all the parts

    yea ive priced up a piston kit through him just thaught someone thats clued up may want to have a crack and make some cash it does turn over now when moving the kickstarter has only done just over 19,000ks

    Trust me there is so much that can go wrong with RG's that you probably couldn't afford to keep paying someone to fix it....

    You will need to find out why its seized before you bother replacing the piston or it's like it may do it again....

    pretty sure i stupidly ran it out of oil as i had just been on a long ride in the weekend and hadnt checked it when i filled up again
