    What way does my flange go?

    So im a bit confused about the installation of the flange i just received.
    does the end with a small cone and a sandpapery stuff go in towards the muffler or in towards the exhaust headers?

    You really want to shave that sandpapery stuff off.

    I think its a seal or somthing. it jsut goes around the base of the cone and has holes where the bolts of the muffler can go through.

    Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Can you not post up a photo of it? Or maybe if you google a plan view of the part and it's application, you might see what you need?

    Cone goes into the exhaust header end.
