So you mean "clubmans"......or "club day"

or do you mean "Golf Clubhouse meeting" or "Polo day"

Sorry I don't buy your argument for a second.
Usually when people say "its not mainstream".......they have swallowed the sales pitch.

Not mainstream is a rat bike, a turbo bike, a triton........... not a bunch of rich kids riding a brandname. Doing that is actually more mainstream than you think.

What makes a bike eligible for Bears, is there a rule book or is it just based on the mood of the committee on the day. How much Japanese content is allowed, I have heard of a local built bike with euro engine being kicked out of Sot because of a RS125 swingarm, but britten is ok with jap gearbox.
My neighbours diary says I have boundary issues

If you really think that and aren't just trolling then you're speaking from a position of ignorance, if you came down to the SOT or a BEARs club day you'd see you're well wide of the mark

He knew that was likely to happen but chose to try entering it anyway

Only says engine, nothing about the transmission, if they really wanted to be pricks they could toss the whole thing as it also say frames must be "Non Asian design"

An early rule was non japanese engine & non japanese frame, this was not strictly enforced as the DENCO was in a jap rolling chassis.
In the early days jap disc brake front ends were often used, permitted but not encouraged.
Re the RS125 swing arm either the adjudicator or the competitor were known to be an arsehole so extreme prejudice prevail, or they were both arseholes.
Every now & again an arsehole did rock up to BEARS meetings I'm sure they still do.
