    Thumbs up

Thanks for the support there Nutbar, pity is we didn't get to meet up with you at the event.
    Nevertheless we had an EVENT.
many many thanks to the men and woman of Cyclespot on Barrys Point Raod Takapuna. They looked after us all in style and made us very welcome, even cooking up the sausages for us and taking the cash.
Fantastic reception there and also a big vote of thanks to "The Coffee guy" cheers mate, hope it worked out for you.
The people of Auckland were treated to a display of Drowned rat MAG-NZ Riders, men and women riding through the centre of their town in absolute torrential rain.
We made noise, we tooted our horns, we did synchronised bike ballet (messer's FM and chasio) mostly we did a run across the bridge to town, down Queen Street out onto Fanshaw Street and back over the bridge to Cyclespot.
There we handed over our mostly dry soft toys to the NZ Heart Kids representative. In the dry of Cyclespots showroom, we filled the table with soft cuddly toys. For a bunch of hairy arrsed bikers we did alright.
Pat yer selves on the back everyone.
A safe ride and everyone enjoyed their time together and giving the kids another thrill this Christmas.
The Pollies can wait for their pressies, we ride for needy causes Not damned self serving members of parliament.
Thanks to all of those KEEN AS MAG_NZ members who arrived to take part today, without you all it would have been a little quiet.
You are as our President said,"True Bikers" for braving all that the weather gods can throw at you and still riding for the kids and in support of MAG-NZ.
One damned proud MAG_NZ founding member here you lot.
    Thanks , aye.
Oh and Val it just! Happened, we couldn't stop it, honest injun.
    Pics to follow.
Every day above ground is a good day!:

    Great day for Ducks...

I am sure that the toys will put a smile on the faces of a few wee kiddies who really need it. As Caseye said. A big thanks to Grant and the team at Cyclespot for looking after us wet and rather bedraggled bikers.....

Chuck it up, lets have a looksee.

Well I can honestly, hand on heart say, that I got wetter today than I ever have on a bike, my gear is now relegated to ex-gear and my very expensive guaranteed waterproof gloves are a joke in the rain we experienced today, thank goodness it was not cold. We were supposed to go to a BBQ on the way home, it was impossible, we had to go home and get some dry gears on, the dry gears that I had packed to change into were saturated as well My gloves were full of water, my boots were full of water, infact there was not one part of me dry.

I dont think I have laughed as much as I did today, what a bunch of absolute mentalists! Who in their right minds would have gone out riding in that lot I ask you? The looks on the faces of the people out and about was priceless, the kids loved seeing us, and the cheers and claps and waves we got were very warming.

The best bit was the toys. Lara from Heart Kids was delighted with them. She will be delivering them to the children that are too sick to leave the hospital on Christmas day, and promises to take some pics for us. Well done us!

Big thanks to everyone that turned out today, it was a spectacular sucess given the conditions, 24 hardy and proper bikers, complete with soft toys will be responsible for the smiles on sick kids faces at Christmas. Thanks also to the guys at Cyclespot for their hospitality and the BBQ cooking, was worth opening up for the day afterall, and thanks too, to The Coffee Guy, he makes really yummy coffee

Top effort team, thank you for your support.

I had a blast today, good fun with a great bunch of people. Extremely wet but it was well worth it.

My only problem now is I need to get all my gear dry ready for tomorrow morning

Cheers all that braved the weather.

I am sorry I wimped out - I don't have any wet weather gear and I just couldn't bear the thought of the dye running off the suede bits of my new jacket also my left knee is playing up and I can't take the weight of the bike on it - easy in the dry but not so sure in the wet.

What a day! Stayed pretty dry in fact! Wet gear worked, boots didn't leak, visor stayed clear, a little damp around the neck warmer but not to bad all in all!!

We are crazy you know! LOL!! I don't mind the wet to much but it was bloody slippery out there! Bit I liked was the 24+ bike rev up's at the lights in town load is good.
Was a great day, had a few laughs now I gotta clean the bike which is the thing I hate about riding in the rain!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!
