85 GSX-R400 Runs nicely, great commuter, beats the traffic easy!

I bought this earlier in the year after moving to Wellington and following a bit of work (more below) I have used this bike to get across town to work everyday, plus the odd weekend ride around the bays with the missus.

I bought this de-registered and out of long term garage storage.

Work I have done to pass re-cert, get VINned get WOF etc:

Cleaned out the gas tank, patched a hole.
    New battery
    New fork seals
    New fork oil
Flush coolant and replace with anti corrosion
    Flush oil, replace filter.
    Flushed brake systems, replaced fluid
    Cleaned out carbs, tweaked.
    New spark plugs
    New air filter

I'm moving back to Christchurch this weekend and need to sell this baby ASAP. Priced for a quick sale.
Will have WOF and rego will be up to new owner.

This is a good reliable runner for the commuter. I've found it fantastic to avoid traffic jams as it's small, nimble but got plenty of power.

Any questions, ask away. Tell your friends, whoever might be interested...

Apologies, photos aren't the best, from when I bought it! Hope to get new pics up soon.

Hey sam. could you please clarify re rego status. have you registered the bike and its just due a top up or is it still needing completion of the rerego process?
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?

Sorry that really wasn't clear -
I have re-registered the bike (eg new plates), got a compliance check and WOF back in about June.
Have been riding to work since.
I've just got a new WOF, but the Vehicle License (we all seem to call it rego) has expired (about 3 weeks ago) and I've just put the license on hold with NZTA since I'm not using the bike at the moment.

The new owner just needs to change ownership and purchase 3,6 or 12 months of Vehicle License/Rego to be legal.

    Cheers!

PS If you're interested come have a look and make me an offer!

Great bike these. Have owned three, rebuilt two, commuted on one. One of the best bikes I have ridden over the hills in and out of Wellington. Also a great chance to own a piece of little known motorcycle history.
Yes 4 strokes are for homos. Homo-sapiens that is, who have realized bigger is better.
