    A bug in my helmet!

So travelling down the motorway to work this morning and I see a MASSIVE bug coming towards me. No i dont swerve, Im not that dumb, it hits me in the chest, kinda hurt, but all is well.

About 5 mins later get to a red light, take off again and can see the bug.....INSIDE MY HELMET. The bastard must have stuck to me and crawled up when I was stopped.

Im a girl, and yes bugs scare me. I CRUSH them if theyr in my personal space. But at the moment, Im in traffic, on the motorway, doing 100k..... So instead of having a mini panic and doing something stupid I just flipped my visor up and hoped itd get out!

Visor back down, cant see bug, sweet must be gone.

Anyone else had something crawl into their helmet and cause a rukus? Spiders, flys, cats, leprechauns...

    Wasps

You would be surprised just how fast you can stop, take your gloves off and get your helmet off when you have a wasp walking on your face...DAMHIK

I've had a wasp wander around my helmet, the bastard walked across my face between my sunglasses and naked eyes. I got stung in the neck twice.

I got hit by fireworks one new years eve in Auck CBD so did many cars. Lucky I had the visor down. Crazy crazy place to ride a moped.

OK what you should do is... open viser - turn head left or right to blow insect out.

Now you will have to go and find another insect to try it.
Ride it until the wheels fall off...

On my moped a year or so ago, was driving at 50 or 60, riding in a hoodie and a bumblebee flew up my sleeve. I stopped pretty damn quick and whipped my helmet off and was dancing around unzipping my hoodie. I must have looked like a fuckin' psycho to anyone that saw me. I often ride with my visor up at highway speeds, I'm not sure why, I just prefer it at times. But I also have not had a bug fly into my face either, maybe once that happens I will reassess my preference.

I had a very angry wasp crawling around inside my jacket and couldn't make any pit stops until 20 minutes after I stopped hitting my jacket thinking it was a dislodged stone.

Thankfully the wasp decided not to sting me (or it stung my jacket instead)

I had a bee in my helmet once, got through the gap above the chin guard when I had my visor down to the last notch before fully closed.

The little bugger stung me right between the eyes. There was a LOT of swearing coming from under my helmet when that happened.

I hate it when the bugs blow up underneath the helmet and then crawl all over the inside of the visor.

I've had a bug up my arse all day.
Boss has been giving me a wide berth for fear of getting a spray.
Just cracked my first beer though, so all is good.

I have a wind jammer which stops anything from crawling up from my jacket.

Unfortunately I've been stung by a bumble bee before while cruizing down the road, visor up, sun glasses on, looking real cool while heading to work.

Bloody thing hit me just under the eye and then decided to sting me just above the eye.

I have never checked my mirrors, swerved to the side of the road, stopped and pulled my gloves and helmet off so quickly before in my life.

Had that also, I noticed an little (well it looked big cos it was so close to my left eye) freeloader. it was clinging onto the check padding. I had the visor open one click and almost opened it right, thought better of it quick enough though. Slowed to about 30-40 kph and turned my head to the left, lifted the visor and grabbed it with my left fingers and shook it off like you see those dirty pricks do with snot.
