    Hi everybody,

Just like to say "Hi", my names Kevin Lewis, I met some of you at the WIMA Pink Ribbon Ride earlier this year. Those that I have met will know I have recently started a motorcycle towing service in Auckland, hence the user name.

I'd just like to say hi to everyone and let you all know that if the brownstuff hits the sharp pointing spinny thing then we are here to help out.

I'm gonna go look around the forum index and figure out where to put the bizzy stuff.
    Thanks all and ride safe!!!

*Update* My Contact Number is 021 156 9448 or (09) 266 1111 or alternatively you can drop us an email on the contacts page of our website!!!

Welcome Kevin! What's your operational area for the recovery service? Do you have a bike?

    Hey Edbear,

My main area of operation is in Auckland (Hampton Downs to Puhoi and Orere Point- to Piha). But I will go basically anywhere in the North Island. Lets face it riders don't do 10 min rides anymore

I did have a bike but had to swap it ten years ago for a Pram and two kids, so this is my way of venturing back into the community.

That's cool mate! Certainly we do get around these days! My main concern was if I get a flat tyre way outta town. With spokes and tubes, you can't just pack a Panda or plug kit.

I sold my old Suzuki T500 back in '77 when I got married and hadn't had much over the years since while doing the bringing up kids thing until I got my '89 GSX600F in '03. Now we've got the C50T and we're footloose and fancy free!

Welcome, I think we may have spoken on the phone when my VFR800 broke down on the motorway!

Fortunately I got it going and was able to ride it home but the guys at Botany Honda said you were going to go that way just to make sure I wasn't stranded a few metres down the road again.

I'll also mention that these guys offered to give me not only a tow back home, but a tow either that evening or the next morning to my local dealership for free. This was around 6.30 - 7.00pm on a weeknight, so pretty damn good service right there.

As I said though, fortunately the bike magically worked after 40 minutes of suspicious death but I feel the need to give them my thanks as I didn't have the number to call back and say thank you personally.

    So thanks!

Yes Ed, my issue exactly the other week when I got a flat tyre. I have spokes and a tube. I ended up calling the AA and having to load the bike onto a huge tow truck - I knocked the oxford handgrip switch off unloading it and I nearly fell off the truck too. The rather small man was very nice but not much use man handling the bike onto the truck - i did most of the work. Quite nauseating watching my beloved bike in the back of the truck hoping to gof it doesn't fall over...........

    Hellokitty!!!

I do remember you from the WIMA ride, and what a ride that was! Well planned and executed! Anytime you or the girls at WIMA need a sweeper vehicle for your rides, let me know. Hopefully we'll see you on Saturday at the BRONZ Toy Run.

    Cheers Kevin
