Dog-owners who fail to clean up after their pets are being targeted by motorbike patrols equipped with video surveillance equipment in Lincolnshire.
South Kesteven District Council has equipped three new ‘Enforcement Rangers’ with 650cc Honda Transalp motorcycles. The council said it believed it was one of the only local authorities in the country to use video-equipped bikes.
Garry Knighton, head of waste and contract services, said: "We hope these high-visibility enforcers will also help advise and educate people who ignore the problems caused by littering and dog fouling. Other authorities are coming to us to look at what we're doing."
