How do I get house paint off my car?

You obviously haven't driven a genuine GTI-R.

It's only an RA, but it is for sale. Forged pistons, big turbo, big fuel pump, 1 bar boost = lots of fun.

If it's acrylic, it's easy to shift (I know this because when I was spray-painting the roof of our first house, I .... um.. accidentally rendered the bonnet of my father-in-law's 180B sort of ... um... spotty. Like, white with a fine coating of gree pimples.
Luckily, car polish took it off.
Most car paint is lacquer, so it's resistant to many organic solvents apart from acetone. Paint brush cleaner ("Kumcleen", f'rinstance) will remove it if turps doesn't. So will petrol, as it has a large dollop of the same solvents (toluene and xylene) that are present in brush cleaner. Follow up with a mildly abrasive car polish.

Or you could leave it - it looks kinda kewl.
