Dude I reckon your front tyre is down to the wear indicators. Which unfortunately means it's worn out.

The wheel bearing is "rough" so you have to grease it?

    Good God.

For $600-$700 make sure your mechanic is REPLACING the wheel bearings, not just greasing them.

Yip, its all good getting speed demon on it, sweet thanks for the clear up, i had a good look at it myself, reason i think it was still good to go, i was used to my rear tyre pretty much being slicks, and i still got a WOF, i don't know what the guy was on... but hey, its all good

If the bearing is actually rough, greasing it won't help, especially since it's probably sealed one.
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!

You should lube the chain too, probably add another $0.50 to the sale price!

$25 each for wheel bearings??? FFS. I would be grumpy at half the price. Its a frikken bearing not a lump of gold!

that front tyre doesnt look that bad to me in the photos.. but photos can lie.

fork seals will be the expensive bit. I recently took the forks out of my bike and handed it to the shop all ready to pull apart and it was still $280 to replace $11 seals!

this is the pricing when i sent the email in the morning i didn't get anything back till late afternoon, after i saw the repairman about it at lunch

Pirelli sport demon 100/80-17 $159.00 not including fitting (fitting is $50)

Front wheel bearings $24.90 each, requiring 2

Front forks, this will be priced on the hourly rate @ $108.00 per hour, not sure how long it would take as it depends on what they find if they find anything that is, I.e., fork seals may need replacing.
