Fuel light on a Hyundai Getz

first of all, sorry to hear you have a Getz.

But if you really want to know, just fill it as soon as the fuel light comes on, subtract that from the fuel capacity (whatever that is - 45l apparantley) and x by probably by about 6l/100km - I reckon there'll be 100k left in the tank. As a comparison I can drive from Cambridge to the Mount with the light on in my suzuki baleno wagon

Or you could be like one of the girl drivers for our local truckie, and call up on the radio and say "this stupid truck has run out of diesel again"

my old toyota and my bmw go over 100 k with the light on....Be careful stopping on hills if the light is on though......

Na she's the total opposite of the typical woman who drives with the fuel light on for ages.

It turns on and she flips out, thinking she's going to run out of fuel in the next couple of kms...

Being a woman she will drive incessantly with the fuel light on, typically a female expects there should be three days of driving with that light on before it becomes necessary to add fuel.

You could explain that it has nothing to do with fuel at all. It's an "apply make-up" light...
