I know what you mean (unfortunately), however the placebo effect achieves the same ends by much the same means as mental discipline, so there's nothing wrong with that. And I certainly wouldn't seek to rob those who gain effective treatment from that effect. However I still wouldn't recommend trying the more snake oil sounding crap as it isn't likely to provide fuck all benefit, placebo or otherwise.

(And before you start on me - I have no opinion on these things. I'd never even heard about them till I read this thread but..........)

.......a quick search on their site gave me the names of Benji Marshall, Shaquille O'Neal, and Rubens Barrichello. And they were only the names I recognised.

And let's not forget that many years ago Peter Brock split with the Holden Dealer Team over their refusal to fit the Crystal Frequency Resonator thingy (or whatever it was called) to all their vehicles.

Sorry that wasn't directed at you but all the dumbasses who are going to rush out and buy one so they don't fall off

Yep can read, bit pointless being on a forum if you can't. I think you meant "can't you fucking interpret?"

Absolutely, BUT in the long term would be better acknowledging and managing pain than leaning on a placebo-based crutch.

Having pondered this overnight, my take is this.....

I have always believed that we have an energy within us. If we didn't then the Chinese have been scamming us for thousands of years. This energy, when focused can produce great self healing ability.

I think that all these bracelets are doing is creating a sense of awareness of that energy and the wearers own mind power then takes over and achieves the results.

I do like "Power Balance performance technology is Holograms embedded with frequencies that act postitively with your bodys natural energy feild increasing your Balance, Strength and felexibility"

So 'Power Balance' is whole pictures embedded with a 'number of occurrences of a repeating event per unit time' so is that like a CRT monitor???

Power Balance says the holograms on either side of the wrist react with the body's energy flow and tune its frequency to the ideal 7.83 hertz required to power the body.
You can't make this shit up folks!

I'm not to sure whether it's just a placebo effect or not because I didn't know when it was put in my hand.

There are supposedly medicinal ones as well but until solid proof can be given as to why and how they work they are just another scam to me.
Our local seller tried that one on me. It's an old parlor trick based on muscle memory. We used to muck about with the tricks at school, we used slates & chalk in lessons.

I was given a Shuzi (?) bracelet as a present & had a sniff around trying to find out about the "technology". It doe's not exist in any peer reviewed form. A friend with one removed the chip & did the same tricks to unsuspecting bar flys.

I'm a natural sceptic & just because something is new & not main stream I do not automatically scoff. We do respond to magnetic & electrical influences, so why not?

The morning after I put the bracelet on I woke up feeling great, their could be a 100 reasons why but it was a suprise. Otherwise it had zero effect. I gave it back. A lot of money for something which is totally negligible & purportedly helps your golf swing. I don't play golf...
