Apparently there are a few stockiest go figure, but I guess at the end of the day their no worse (or better) than energy drinks/bars, protein bars/shakes, bottled water & all the other 'crap' they peddle at sports stores & gyms.

There's no way it works without breaking science as we know it.
"Power Balance® holograms are designed to work with your body's natural energy field. "
Every single part of this sentence is bullshit.
There's no evidence that there is such a thing as your "body's natural energy field" nor that holograms can interact with it and if there was these fraudsters wouldn't be the first to find out.

And your point is? Still doesn't make it a legitimate product. Many legitimate businesses sell shit because it makes money. Countdown sells smokes. McDonalds sells unhealthy fatty over-salted meals. Your choice whether you buy them or not but don't expect to get anything of value from the product.

Just as you're a misguided fool if you don't believe that cigarettes can cause you harm and constantly eating junk food won't screw up your physique, you are a fool if you believe the shit that is peddled alongside these sham products.

Because like all good products that develop a following, there is always someone who wants to make a quick buck from making copies.
What can be copied here. The hologram cannot, I repeat (for the terminally stupid) CANNOT be embedded with a frequency. It doesn't make sense! Frequency is the measurement of the number of occurrences of an event per second (typically) So how can you 'embed' a number of events per second. They talk of the bodies natural energy field? A field is simply a place where forces act. This will be electrical, magnetic, gravitational or nuclear. Energy is that which causes the forces to effect an action (movement for example) so "Energy Field" has as much meaning as "Banana Hurricane"

Be honest with yourself what you bought had nothing physical to do with your recovery. Not even a smidgen. Psychologically it probably did so all good there.

And the world is flat too?

Can you not consider that possibly, just possibly someone smarter than you has figured out something that works, but that the language used to describe it is lacking?

The company that produces them in the US are working on clinical trials to prove their claims, until then I guess it's just those of us who are open enough to possibility that'll receive the benefits

Looking forward to seeing it in Science magazine, where all real science is.
I bet you $100 it won't. Not because scientists are snobbish and won't bother to look at it all, believe me they do. But because it has zero factual basis to it beyond placebo.

Or someone is trying to desperately prove that they didn't waste money and credibility supporting a product attached to a band that "vibrates" at 400–790 THz just like all the other visible light.

I really don't care that a bunch of grumpy skeptics on KB don't want to believe it.
I know the pain I felt prior to wearing mine and sure as shit don't want to go back to that so you'll have to excuse me if I happily continue to ignore your comments from now on.

I guess these bands are no different to homeopathy which is widely accepted and used worldwide.
Homeopathy - the energy from the leaves of specific plants is imparted into some water. This water is then put into a vat of thousands of litres of normal water. The homeopathic water causes a "memory" effect to make all of the water in the vat have the same curative powers as the homeopathic water.

I also loved that the head of some Homeopathic association declared that a double-blind randomised controlled trial is not a valid way to test the efficacy of homeopathy

You say that like being a skeptic is a bad thing. No, being a gullible fool is a bad thing.

Well, unless I've got a lot of money to make in the alternative medicine industry.

Oh FFS! how thick are you? This is not me being superior or saying I am better than anyone else (oh shit I am so far down the food chain!) It is about having a bit of common sense. Figured out something that works? How an earth does someone figure out that "embedding a frequency in a hologram" which makes no sense, works?

The company that produces them in the US are working on clinical trials to prove their claims, until then I guess it's just those of us who are open enough to possibility that'll receive the benefits
You are selling these f***ing things aren't you.
As you undoubtedly know the contact addresses for PowerBand in the US is 30012 Ivy Glenn, Suite #180, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677 U.S.A. and 20512 Crescent Bay, Suite #108, Lake Forest, CA 92630 U.S.A.
Google map them these are both residential addresses. I don't see many research facilities. But of this they are making these claims but you say they are working on "Clinical Trials" but my brief search of The IRB in the states where all clinical trials must be registered came up with "no records found" Funny that! Are you talking complete shit? I think you are. Put up either research data (proper research not some shit from Wikipedia) or an IRB reference or hyperlink or as the saying goes "shut up"

But wait there's more. How can they be making all of these claims if they have not been tested already? Hmmm there's a hologram embedded frequency of an energy question. So what are you, thick as shit or crooked as?

I don't. There comes a point where you HAVE to make an accommodation with what ails you and learn to cope with it. Natural remedies don't work. Drugs don't work. Pain management is a mental discipline in its own right that doesn't need snake oil pedlars' input.
