Two chances at injury for you... hope you're not riding the MVX at Manfeild - you're bound to blow it up or crash it.

Well customs bends over & farts in my face. Fortunately I've had a cold so I can react before fainting.

My barrels (& they sent some new pistons) are in Auckland. Now Customs wants their pound of gst. Fortunately I kept the customs decleration from when I returned the barrel. If I hadn't I would have paid gst on them again no doubt.

but it will take 3-4 working days to process.

no chance of making it now.

Well momentous occasion. I fronted up & registered the 500 & got a plate for it. Had to be done within 2 years of completing the VIN inspection or gets kicked off the list & I'd have to redo the whole process. That would have been thursday deadline.

So now I have a plate & 12 months rego. and a non running bike. So if I'm optimistic I'll have it running in next few weeks & all good. If not I'll put it on hold.

Barrels have cleared customs & in last couple of hours been released for sending to wgtn. No way for 27th unless I took a week off work or something.

But on the plus side I bought a 'nother 2 stroke yesterday.

. . . but another dirtbike so not good for the ride.

    HaHa, Hilarimouse.

Well I was up late last night getting things sorted out. The Povervalves (TSS YPVS driven blade type) needed some fettling to match these barrels. Sadly they could have been a bit longer, I'd trimmed them to clear the pistons on the old barrels but these are slightly different, but they should be ok. Had to adjust the stops. All takes time. Then I plugged in the servo & checked it worked.

The ring end gaps were seriously too tight so I had to file some clearance in them. Then bolt it together to the head & pump it up. Seems to hold pressure for many minutes. Bleed off overnight so I may still put in in a bucket of water to test it.
