Some of us are just harder than others..... or just too poor to buy wets!!
It wasn't that bad once the sidecars had swept most of the rainbow off the track, just had to be a little weary of the painted lines, those were bloody slippery!!
Big ups to Andrew A, that man was motoring and is also considerate of us slower folk when passing.

Well done to Andrew, bike and rider were very fast! Getting lapped in race 1 wasnt all that fun! Good to see a FXR taking the win again.

Those white lines and patch joins were the slipperiest thing on the track all day, a bit of fun to see if the bike would slide that little bit more each lap and get away with it.

I ended up in 12th in the second race on slicks, and the CBR infront of me was on road tyres, dont think anyone else infront of me was on slicks? Wasnt a bad result for a standard engine, maybe need to find some power so I dont get left behind on the straights.

You did bloddy well Rick on that new bike. It went well and I am sure you will get it going better when you have some time. I thought after the dry weather on Monday I could stay with you if my start was ok, but with the wet no chance.
You were talking about times for the 3 hour race. Here is the link if you have not already found it.

Well what a great couple of days. First Practice was not so hot I felt like I was riding like a real spaz and just didn't get smooth at all. Second practice was a different story all together. The bike was screaming after a little needle change and the near new rubber just had a level of grip that was out of this world. I started that practice with the intention of staying with Andrew and maybe pissing him off buy showing him the wheel. Was all going according to plan until My stupid invention to stop the gear shifter for going past its return stuck me in 5th. I ended up pulling off to fix it and found myself near Mike when I rejoined. We both came onto the Start finish straight at the same time and I tucked in behind as we both were on the gas hard. There was nothing much in it. Apples to apples I think he has more power but I was getting better drive from the corner. All fun and games.

Race day and rain. I don't mind the rain but new Andrew is really strong on the wet stuff. My fist time on wets and I was just a bit unsure as to how much grip they have I had heard the stories but until you are pushing them your self its all just theory. Qualifying was shit with all the oil. Ended up binning just tipping in to the final corner on lap 4 ish picked it up then carried on slow till the red flag. Race 1 and the plan was to stay upright and get more used to the wets. Started on the front row and got a shocker. Rick passed me like I was standing still and started to disappear. I sorted myself out and went after the flying 52. I was having a ball and saw I was catching with ever lap but when I got on his wheel it was another thing to get passed. That thing was flying it would pull away on any straight bit even when I got better drive out of the corners he would just gas on and I could do nothing in the end I had to try and out break him and keep it smooth and go after number 88 I got passed but the race was red flagged and it didn't count.

The big one. Well after seeing Andrew and Gavin go at it in the first race I didn't think I could find the 1.5 seconds I needed from the get go. I got a better start and found myself behind Nathaniel. I got pasted and pulled a gap and felt good but just made no dent into Andrew and Gavin's lead. I was picking through the Street stocks when one dude tried to block me and out break me in turn 6 or 7 maybe he ending up tucking the front and smacking into the back of me I tried to turn in but he was holding me up while still crashing so had to straighten up and gas it across the kitty litter to the grass, turn the bike and gas it back across to the track. Thank god for wets they hook up nice it the soft stuff. By this time Nathaniel and Rick had got passed. I had the rage and managed to haul them both back in and take 3rd back. A vast improvement on last years effort.

Well after all the Talk about power, 2 stroke v 4 stroke. I think there is one performance mod we could all agree on. A good tyre will get you a long long way.

It was great to see you all again and put faces to names. Almost everyone had a smile on there face at the end of the day. A great bunch

Congratulations to Andrew and Gavin on a great ride.

    Next year .......... maybe
