Glad you weren't hurt badly!
You always gotta treat the cagers like they are out to get you.
I've had many near misses where I managed to get out of their way...

A few people mentioned rego, something cop bikes have is a whiteboard and marker to take down that exact thing, rego plates.... maybe we as bikers could throw in a pen and some paper in a spare pocket for just this thing... get the impatient buggers!!!!!!!!
Get the leg checked (blood clots) and report the accident to the cops. I didn't report my accident when I was knocked off by a car, and I wish I had - a ticket might make the car driver pay more attention when at stop signs.
Glad you are okay though!
I got the guy on his cell that he gave me and got the rego and make and model which match up and match the description of the car I remember. Police report was submitted and he said it could be a month or so before any report is seen.
Leg is still sore, for a couple days seeming to get worse so I've got a appointment before work on Monday

Good to know you're okay! Though it sucks about the bike.
Hope the leg heals quickly; some arnica cream (AntiFlamme) should help with quicker healing if it's just bruises and scrapes. Make sure you take your vitamins, that'll help too.![]()
Here's to hoping the poliss are quick with that report! A ticket would do that driver a bit of good, it seems.

Just an update: Leg was cleared as unbroken and in general fine. Foot had a suspected fracture and tendon damage but an x-ray and ultrasound (and almost $90 later) showed nothing. Now that it's stopped hurting enough to touch it, there appears to be nerve damage in my leg however so I think I need another trip to the doctor
Got a letter from the insurance company yesterday and they have deemed he was at fault, but he denies this. His story now is that I rolled back into the car. Luckily his story is completely bogus and able to be disproven in almost every respect very easily, so I should be able to get his ass handed to him fairly soon. If I knew he was gonna be this much of a d*ckhead I certainly would have called the cops straight away
Does anyone know how to check the progress on a police investigation without any sort of report number or anything?

He hadnt thought that through. How do you roll back into a car and end up with such bad injuries and also a damaged bike, also if you roll back it would be kinda hard to drop the bike, its easier to do hill starts on a bike than a car so its harder to roll backwards, how bad was his car because if it has bad enough damage it would be vary hard to gain enough speed rolling backwards on a bike to damage a car... Some people come up with the worst excuses, you can see straight thru his BS like glass. His story now is that I rolled back into the car.
You're slower than a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter. I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.
She slammed it in reverse your honour and backed into me at full noise, was all i could do to hold on to the steering wheel
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
Bowls can wait !
Exactly! And that's what I'll tell the insurance company. Don't know what sort of damage happened to his car. Such bullshit makes it so easy to disprove, so that't why I'm not worried
Haha I wouldn't put it past this guy to say something like that, I would actually find it hard to accidentally roll backwards downhill on a bike
Very tempting my friend, are you voluntaring? :P
