Hey all thought Id post up a "hi and hello" thread

Got my learners sussed a couple of months back and bought myself a 97 Suzuki Bandit. Its been awesome so far (apart from neck pain, see thread in Biker Angels section).

Heard about the website through a customer and thought Id give it a look. Looks awesome so far

Hopefully Ill see some of you at local events, Im sick of riding by myself!

Hi there, have a wee look in the 'meetings and events' section. I'm sure there is a local ride you could tag along with.

there is also a 'mentor' program where an experienced rider can ride with you and check if you are getting the basics right.

Hopefully the pain will go away with a few technique adjustments and some strengthening of your neck and back muscles.

Welcome to KB.

I have made some FANTASTIC riding friends in here, and am out with them on the roads every single weekend. Plenty of us gals around too. Hope to see you out on a ride with us soon.

Thanks for the advice

Im probably fully blind but cant navigate the Meetings and Events section very well.....I can only see lots of events in Canterbury, and then the ones that say Manawatu I cant actually find details of rides, just pages of discussions? (newbie-itis?)

Im having a bit of trouble still tho, on one of those links there is 97 pages of posts, the first being from April this year.... and the last being about needing help with a garage door, and then more pages of discussion on how great the last ride was. Im having trouble finding a page that gives details of the next ride? like

etc? Sorry this is freaking embarrassing, i am more than likely just looking in the wrong place!

No that's pretty just the way the feral cats get herded here on KB. You'll get used to it.

There's also a Wellington riders page on Facebook and once you meet up with a few txt and messaging kicks in as well..... or you could just go for a ride and look out for bikes at cafes most weekends..
