    My white 2010 ninja ex250

Bought this a few months ago, she had a hairline crack in 1 of the fairings and had been badly repaired with glue/araldite, so i sent it to get plastic welded, then while that was getting done i took a wild notion to go for a full respray.
Ended up going for Nissan Ivory Pearl, thats the colour of the new Skyline GTR's, feckin expensive paint at 240bucks for a litre of base and a half litre of pearl!

Ive yet to flatten the paint and polish it, will do that in a week or so once the paint toughens

    Looks the part though

looking pretty good lose the wheel stripes or at least make them white,
in saying that if you got a couple of green ninja stickers on the tank etc it would match the rims a bit better

plastic fabricator/welder here if you need a hand ! will work for beer/bourbon/booze

keep the green stripes , defines the wheels better than just plain black. If you do go for green decals make sure they have a black border, otherwise they'll make it look cheap.

I 2nd losing the green wheel stripes.

PS: The white looks fantastic. They should have that as a factory option. MAkes it look more expensive.

I painted my GPX white too but I need to redo it again with better paint.
Did the current job with spray cans cheaply as practice but want to do a proper pearl white job with a spray gun!

When you say you're going to wait a week to flatten it, do you mean sand with a really fine grit before the polish?
Did you use clear coat at all or does the polishing do that job?
Man, I have too many questions. Maybe I should just buy a book on automotive painting or something heh.

yeah flattening it is once painted you rub it back with 1500grit wet+dry, then hit it with a buffer and some G3 rubbing compound. Gives it a totally smooth shiney finish.

With Pearl Paint theres the primer, then white base coat, then the pearl colour itself, then clear coat (laquer).

I have the standard 'kawasaki' and 'ninja' stickers made up in matt black so i'll get them on her after being buffed. Then i'll consider doing the lower half of the fairings with matt black vinyl to copy the style of the larger Ninja's.
Green Rim tape's staying, contrast is cool

laquer is the final coat of paint, its transparent. Its the tough high shine finish coat.
