    Hampton Downs

Hey just a thought for those that use Hampton....

Did an afternoon track day on my new 3 week old Honda with only 1600kms on the clock.. and got a puncture in the rear from the metal in the area they call the pitts.
Noticed the tire was flat the next morning with a sharp stone stuck right through the tread.
I trucked the bike to and from the track so it happened there all right.

The track is superb, but the pitt area is a fukin joke....

Anyway, I suggest you kick you tires before every session the track...

And I'm going to sue Hampton for a new rear tire... How do you think I'll get on there...

you must have some pretty shit tyres to get a puncture from a stone?

It's just bad luck mate, hundreds of people have ridden over the gravel there hundreds or thousands of times and I've not heard of anyone else having any trouble.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

It's looking a bit better now but now they are building the garages. Will be construction around for a while. I work on registration at the HD ride days, it's cool to see the progress each time.
