So you exceeded the speed limit by 30kph on a vehicle with brakes that need servicing. Shouldn't be too hard - they are probably Brembos from memory. :-)

Heard the saying, about Old Bikers and Bold Bikers....I have been riding since 15, that's now 42 years with one off and that was on my ST1100 being an idiot down the Parapara's, came to the conclusion that no matter how good I thought I was there is always going to be the one time you F****k up since then I owned another ST, tried a Goldwing or two but too much plastic for my liking, then a couple of Valkyrie Tourers...best bike ever owned, then Honda said screw the six cylinders and tried to push the 1300 and 1800 models, didn't like em, looked to much like another brand from Japan, although still good bikes, just not me. Then I went on a trip to the States for 7 weeks with a bunch of good buggers who mostly rode Harleys,,,all trip I told them what a heap of junk they rode...all in good fun....came home sold the Valk's and have been happily riding Harleys ever since, current ride is a 2011 Road King and am very happy with the 1700 cc motor, ABS brakes, new frame that has got rid of the wallowing effect and ticks all my boxes. What I am saying is there is no such thing as the "BestBike", it's just what suits you best at the current point in time....no leaks on Harleys these days either
