I was handed the keys & told it was my job to take a few guests for a ride around the local roads.
First job was to find where to put the key - to be told "in your pocket will be fine".
Pootled off to the road for a familiarization with the beast before unleashing all that power a little later. The hill I found must have been steeper than it looks as I waited for all the grunt to kick in!
Found my way around the locality & gave it a decent handfull on the way back & tested the braking before his gateway. I was really pleased a handfull only gave me 130 clicks ( yes I checked whether it was mph ) otherwise I would have overshot the driveway by a considerable margin. I'm sure the Busa or ST would have stopped comfortably from twice that in the same distance!
Various "dollies" were taken for a pootle to see how nippie it was before returning it to it's home to see it still only had 1500km on the clock after 3 years ownership....

I wonder why sprotsbike riders feel obliged to 'bag' Harleys?
To confirm to themselves they bought the right kind of bike?
    Insecurity?
    Trolling?

Funny how few Harley riders (on KB anyway) feel obligated to 'bag' sprotsbikes.

You buy what YOU want to ride so why give a fat rats arse about what the 'other guys' ride???

I've been an admirer of Harleys since I was a kid and bought Easyrider magazines regularly so definitely not a hater of the style. I have riden with a lot of harley riders in small groups and yes there are a few with skill however there are a hell of a lot of wannabees and posers. My reservations are these types who think they can ride them like modern European, British and Japanese sports and sports / tourers.
Pro's: Styling, size, comraderie, Suitability for American roads etc.
Con's: Practicality, braking, handling potential, Accessory compulsion, cost. to name a few.
Suck, Squeeze, Bang, Blow aren’t just the 4 cycles of an engine
