Plastic welding & fairing repairs
I dropped the KLR up Karipoti a while back and the upper fairing got well and truly munted. (when nearly 200 kilos of KLR hits the rocks, the result is predictable)
Kawasakis prices being what they are, after seeing in his sig line that he repaired plastics, I e-mailed Hayd3n (KB username) to see if he would be interested in trying to reassemble the bits (not all of which were there). A few e-mails with pictures were sent, he said it didn't look to healthy but send the stuff down and he would see what he could do.
Anyway, fairing was returned to me today and Hayden has done a pretty amazing job of fixing the bits, including making a patch for the piece thats somewhere on the Porika track, and fabricating the indicator mount.
Cost was relatively insignificant - freight to and from Dunedin was the biggest component
Very happy to recommend Hayden to anyone who needs plastic welding.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.
