    I have seen this before.

    Get to the boss first.

Put some stuff in her bag and car.

    Make sure she gets caught.

    You win.

She was there first, she may win if you try and sit down with the boss and let them know what's going on, however theft is instant dismissal.

Fire with fire.....fuck that, put the bitches flames out altogether. Don't play her game by chatting with the boss, she is obviously a slime ball and is probably more conniving than you can be, no matter how truthful what you have to say is.

Fix a computer and it'll break tomorrow.
Teach its owner to fix it and it'll break in some way you've never seen before.

Perhaps they could have a little competition to see who gives the best head and the boss can decide who stays that way?

I've been a hospitality employer for a number of years, I now work alone, bliss! You have to approach your problem professionally, honestly & factually. I'm sure your boss would appreciate the chance to hear any issues or concerns you may have informally rather than being pushed into a formal meeting which can be unpleasant & possibly unnecessary. Do not guild the lily or second guess what has been said to you, stick to unemotional facts not conjecture & gossip. Your employer is far more likely to think positively of you if they know that you are their to do your job well & find solutions to problems which stop this as a team player.
If your employer is affected by slander & gossip you may want to look for a more professional position.

Had a read of the article thanks for that I thought it was a bit weird having to do a 30 day trial of doing the same things i've done in the kitchen for the time i've been working for my first boss.

Just keep on doing good work then. That speaks louder than anything and is a much better strategy than complaining (even if the complaint is valid) in these circumstances.

Didn't need to resort to the Tony Danza approach then? Shame, would have been O for Awesome.

Don't think Nina's that kinda girl! (Although I did snort out loud when I read the epic post).

Nina, keep working your best and I'm sure that the boss will see through skullduggery and mischief making on anyone else's part.

Interesting reading here. Glad your work ethics have shone through!
Am going through something similar where we are all new staff and some are trying to preen themselves for better positions which are coming up.
I'm using the strategy that "silence speaks a thousand words" and just keeping my head down and being as contienciuos (SP) and professional as I can be.
It is bloody hard when your work mates are trying to undermine you and doing it in front of clients (in my job it has the potential to be dangerous).
Am looking for another job as I cant be F!@T with the competitive crap ,it doesn't make for a healthy environment!!!!

    advice

So I worked again so hard last night I worked for 12hrs of couse with breaks and a hour break for dinner thats what the boss likes us to have. Franko (my boss) actually came over to me last night again and said I was working really well so it looks like thinks are going good so far.

The only thing is I take the work courtesy van home and I was sitting in the back seat by myself and I fell asleep for 20 mins next thing I get Nina your home

Julie has already started to take days off anyway she had a sore foot ages ago and stopped limping but all of a sudden her sore foot has come back but shes not limping

.You see what the new cater's don't know is that Julie has another job at night time and she also likes to hang around and have drinkies. When my old boss ran the kitchen she would not just turn up to work and straight away Maureen and I knew why.Julies taken tonight,Sunday off there is bowls on tonight.I could bet money on it that she wont turn up on Monday either.
